Sue Prentiss

Senate District 5

Sen. Sue Prentiss has brought her skills from a lifetime of service to the New Hampshire Senate. She has more than twenty years of leadership experience in emergency medical services (EMS) at the state, regional, and national levels. Prentiss previously served as New Hampshire’s first female Chief of EMS at the Department of Safety and the state’s Trauma System Coordinator. In the Senate, Sue has been a champion for working families, public safety, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

Donovan Fenton

Senate District 10

Senator Donovan Fenton is running for his second term in the New Hampshire State Senate after being elected to two terms in the NH State House. Born and raised in Keene, Donovan works at his small family business. As a parent to two young children, Donovan is a strong advocate for working families and is committed to expanding access to affordable childcare for families like his. He is excited to continuing his advocacy at a new level in the New Hampshire Senate.

Shannon Chandley

Senate District 11

Sen. Shannon Chandley is running for her third term in the New Hampshire Senate after serving from 2018-2020 and being reelected in 2022. Sen. Chandley is a fierce advocate for working families and was a champion for legislation that lowered costs for Granite Staters. Shannon will continue to stand up for women’s rights, work to lower costs, and ensure our communities have safe and clean drinking water.

Cindy Rosenwald

Senate District 13

As Deputy Democratic Leader in the NH Senate, Sen. Cindy Rosenwald is a longtime advocate for Nashua and for working Granite State families. In the Senate, Cindy serves on the Finance, Ways and Means, and Fiscal Committees. She is a member of the National Conference of State Legislatures Task Force on Health Reform Implementation. Senator Rosenwald has been a champion for important healthcare legislation and has received numerous awards from human service advocacy groups for her legislative work.

Becky Whitley

Senate District 15

As a lawyer and a mom, Senator Whitley believes in the importance of having the voice of a working parent in the NH Senate. Her entire career has been committed to social justice and public service. As a disability rights lawyer, climate activist, child health policy specialist and advocate, and current State Senator for District 15, Senator Whitley is tireless fighter for Granite Stater families. She has recently joined the Senate Caucus Leadership team and is serving as the Assistant Democratic Leader.

Donna Soucy

Senate District 18

Senator Soucy has served in the New Hampshire Senate since 2012 and serves as the Senate Democratic Leader. Her long record of public service includes three terms as a State Representative, two terms as a Manchester Alderman, nearly four terms on the Manchester School Board, and serving as the first female chair of the Manchester Fire Commission. Donna is focused on ensuring working families have an opportunity to get ahead - this includes supporting public schools, increasing access to affordable health care, and fixing our broken economy.

Rebecca Perkins Kwoka

Senate District 21

Sen. Rebecca Perkins Kwoka is a mom, green energy lawyer, and life-long public servant. Sen. Perkins Kwoka knows that our communities and neighborhoods need effective, kind, respectful leadership that delivers collaboratively for New Hampshire. In the Senate, Rebecca has let that philosophy guide her effort to revitalize our state through a return to our Main Street communities, provide housing to the next generation of our economy, and help improve livelihoods for all of New Hampshire.

Debra Altschiller

Senate District 24

First elected in 2016 to the New Hampshire House, Senator Debra Altschiller is a former three term representative from Stratham. She spent her three terms in the House advocating for reproductive rights, expanded health care and common-sense gun safety legislation. Debra has dedicated her professional and public service career to keeping New Hampshire communities safe as a community liaison at a local violence prevention support center and the lead sponsor of key gun safety reforms. Now in the Senate, Debra will be an even greater advocate for those affected in our communities.

Rusty Talbot

Senate district 1

Rusty is a small business owner and outdoor professional who has a proven record of community service. He founded the North Country Climbing Center (aka, N3C)  in 2014. N3C is the only commercial indoor climbing gym serving Northern New Hampshire and is a climbing guide service that leads climbers of all ages and abilities up rock and ice climbs in the White Mountains. Rusty is a member of the Sugar Hill Fire Department, the Captain of the Pemi Valley Search and Rescue Team, the President of the board of Bethlehem’s Colonial Theatre, a member of the Granite United Way’s board of directors, and President of the Littleton Rotary Club Charitable Fund. For years he has also been involved with the Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country and local chambers of commerce. For his work supporting the local economy and giving back to others, he was named Stay Work Play New Hampshire’s Young Professional of the Year in 2017. He is running for NH Senate District 1 to help improve the lives of all people in the North Country.

Carlos Cardona

Senate district 2

Carlos was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico before moving to the mainland USA. He was New Hampshire's youngest elected official in 2007, winning his State Rep election by 46 votes as a write-in candidate. Alongside his partner John, they have two beautiful children,  Jack and Sofia.  They have called Laconia our home since 2010, and have lived in NH for 17 years. Carlos is a business owner and spirited advocate for our community, our schools, our businesses and takes seriously the environmental imperative to preserve our majestic Lakes Region to ensure that our future generations continue to enjoy its natural splendor. Carlos currently serves as a Member of the NH Commission on Native American Affairs. He has served on the school board, is a member of a non profit board Beyond the Ballot, and has served as an AmeriCorps member for New Hampshire.

Bill Marsh

Senate District 3

A graduate of Dartmouth Medical School, Bill Marsh practiced ophthalmology in Carroll County for 30 years. As a business owner he created jobs, and as a doctor he got people back to their jobs. Bill very much enjoys having former patients as constituents – "I know them, they know me, and they know I have their best interests in mind as I make decisions in Concord."

Bill served as a Huggins Hospital trustee for 18 years, including 10 years as treasurer. For 12 years, he was Brookfield’s Moderator, ensuring fair elections and our citizen’s right to vote.

In 2016 Bill was elected to the NH House, serving on the Health and Human Services Committee. For six years, 2016 to 2022, Bill was proud to represent Carroll 8 in the NH House. Finding that his views were not in line with the Republican party in which he had been elected, he switched parties and became a Democrat in 2021. Bill has authored several successful bills to improve access to medical care in rural NH, keep prescription drugs affordable, and modernize our public health system.

John Ceskavich

Senate District 6

John Ceskavich is a retired engineer who worked at Raytheon Company for most of his career.  He lives in Strafford NH with his wife Risa, has two adult children, and one grandchild.  He has three siblings, his father was a flooring specialist, and his mom was a school secretary.  John is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, kayaking, and exploring NH’s many hiking trails. 

John’s top issues to help the citizens of New Hampshire are 1) Maintaining and improving access to family planning services (including education, access to contraception, access to IVF, and maintaining the right to abortion), and 2) Improving and implementing the state’s Hazard Mitigation Plan in order to reduce the long-term risk the hazards pose to life and property (including water systems and electricity grids) caused by climate change.

Stuart Green

Senate District 7

Stuart Green is a retired U.S. Navy Commander and native of New Hampshire. In his naval career, Stuart served as an accredited diplomat in Norway, an intelligence officer attached to multiple carrier aviation units, a director of a maritime intelligence operations center in Norfolk, and an executive officer in a unit serving senior NATO leadership in Italy.  He was stationed at the Defense Intelligence Agency where he conducted counterinsurgency analysis for senior elected and uniformed policymakers, and through multiple deployments he participated in Operations Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, New Dawn, Enduring Freedom, Noble Eagle, as well as the Iraq Survey Group and counter-drug operations.  After retiring from the Navy and returning to New Hampshire, Stuart continued to serve by volunteering as the Andover Town Moderator.

David Trumble

Senate District 8

David and his wife, Linda, have lived in Weare for over 25 years, where they have built their home and a farm. Linda is a teacher of deaf and hard of hearing children and David is a certified organic farmer. They have two grown children who attended the Weare public schools from K-12. When they were small, he was a stay-at-home dad. He has coached youth robotics and sports for over 15 years. David is a co-founder and an active member of a multi-farm agricultural marketing cooperative that has been in business for over 20 years.

In 1983, he graduated from UNH law school. After passing the bar exam, he founded a public interest law clinic that served people with mental illness who were in the State Hospital or receiving mental health services in the community.

Matt McLaughlin

Senate district 9

Matt McLaughlin was born and raised in Bedford, NH, as the youngest of 10 children. His educational journey took him from Bedford public schools to Trinity High School, then to Bridgton Academy Prep School, and finally to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, where he graduated in 1981. At the Naval Academy, Matt distinguished himself as a three-year letterman on the varsity football team, participating in two bowl games and beating Army three out of four seasons. Matt did three deployments on board the Nimitz in the navy, accumulating over 350 carrier landings. He crossed the Arctic Circle (bluenose) the equator (shellback) and circumnavigated the southern tip of South America. Matt spent a total of 33 years as a commercial airline pilot with Northwest Airlines and Delta Airlines. He was privileged to fly all over the world including Europe, Asia, Canada, and the Caribbean.

Ben Ming

Senate district 12

Ben grew up in Boston during the 80's, his mother was a Math teacher and his father was an accountant.

After being elected to the State House, he’s been working hard for Granite State Families. As a father of four, Ben wants his kids to have a state that makes them proud each day. One where we respect a woman's right to choose, have great public schools, and enjoy their lives in a clean environment.

Kara Roy

Senate District 14

Kara Roy joined the Massachusetts Army National Guard in 1986 and went on Active Duty in 1987 for the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Kara graduated from Officer Candidate School in 1994. Using the GI Bill Kara received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Bridgewater State University in 2000. Kara Received her Juris Doctorate in 2008 from the Massachusetts School of Law and was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 2009. Kara was elected to the Rodgers Memorial Library Board of Trustees in 2017, elected to the Hudson Board of Selectmen in 2019 and was elected to a second term in 2022. Kara worked as a family law attorney from 2009 until 2023. She is a voracious reader and lives in Hudson with her husband of 17 years.

Tara Reardon

Senate District 15

Tara’s interest in governance started at a young age, when she and a classmate (and future US Congresswoman), would sit in the gallery of the NH Legislature after school. Tara loved the process of governing and the debate, and from that moment on, working for fairness and equity became paramount. Educated in Concord schools, and a graduate of UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law, Tara practiced law for 20 years, was appointed the Commissioner of Employment Security by Governor John Lynch and spent 10 years at the NH Community Loan Fund creating, financing and preserving thousands of housing units for low- and moderate-income homeowners that is now implemented nationwide. She also served on the Concord City Council as an at-large councilor, the Concord School Board and currently is a Merrimack County Commissioner and has served as the chair during her tenure despite being the only democrat. She was the recipient of Housing Action NH’s Advocate of the Year award in 2013.

Wayne Haubner

Senate District 22

Wayne Haubner is a proud New Hampshire resident, and has built a life with his husband in Salem. Wayne's journey began on the rolling farmlands of Kentucky, where he became the first in his family to graduate from college. That education opened the door to a career at Digital Equipment Corporation—a company that didn’t just innovate but also stood up for equality, creating opportunities that have supported New Hampshire families for generations.

As Chief Technology Officer, Wayne has always had a passion for using technology to make a positive impact. The teams he lead are responsible for delivering products that touch the lives of everyday citizens. Whether it’s your paycheck being electronically deposited, shopping online, visiting a post office, or using the internet on an airplane or cruise ship—chances are, you’ve used one of the technologies his teams have developed.

Brenda Oldak

Senate District 23

Brenda Oldak is the State Candidate for Senate District 23. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Science in Nursing from Boston University. Brenda's nursing career included ICU, Emergency, Coordinator of Surgical Nursing Education, Case Manager, Triage, and Certified Diabetes Educator work experience. She's been affiliated Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital, the Seacoast VNA, and the Rockingham VNA. She has lived in South Hampton for 46 years and, along with her husband, raised two children here. Brenda was appointed and served as the South Hampton Welfare officer. She also founded and Co-Chair the South Hampton Council on Aging.
